**The device KСА-1ЖВ is a laboratory device designed to determine the colloidal stability of plastic lubricants in accordance with ГОСТ ****7142-74.**

Colloidal stability of lubricants is an important property that characterizes their behavior during storage and operation; this is the ability of a lubricant to retain oil (dispersion medium) in the cells of its structural skeleton under the influence of external forces.

The scope of the device is measuring, testing and research laboratories of enterprises and research institutes that develop, produce and consume petroleum products in various industries.

Main parameters and technical characteristics of the device:

— the arithmetic mean of two definitions is taken as the test result;

— two results of determinations obtained by one executor are recognized as reliable (with a 95% confidence probability) if the discrepancy between them does not exceed the values determined by clauses 5.1 and 5.3 ГОСТ 7142-74 (convergence of methods);

— two test results obtained in two different laboratories are considered reliable (with a 95% confidence probability) if the discrepancy between them does not exceed the values determined by 5.2 and 5.4 ГОСТ 7142-74 (reproducibility of methods);

— total mass of the rod, ball, piston and load, g: 1000 ± 10;

— overall dimensions, no more than, mm: 400 × 300 × 770;
